Job description

We are working with a leading non-profit organisation specialising in the Public Health domain that are looking for a seasoned COO to join their existing leadership team.

Despite the company HQ being based in Singapore, this role can be performed remotely from anywhere across the Middle East & Africa, Southeast Asia or Australia / New Zealand.

You will become an integral part of the company’s ever-growing footprint across the Public Health sector driving change and transformation both internally and across multiple geographies for their clients.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead departments under the span of control in right direction and formulate strategies at Institutional and Departmental levels.

  • Work closely with leadership team to ensure activity monitoring, policies/SOPs and KPIs are in place and the same are being monitored on regular basis, and corrective and preventive measures are taken accordingly.

  • Ensure all activities and operations are performed in compliance with local statutory regulations and in line with global guidelines.

  • Represent at forums, platforms, and institutions on regular and need basis like monthly manager’s meeting, Board meetings etc. to update about operational activities.

  • Support Country Director to ensure that financial controls and systems comply with generally accepted accounting practices that meet donor standards.

  • Devise and execute budget planning methodology for multiple geographies; implement budgeting process and ensure that departmental budgets are prepared, presented, and processed accordingly.

  • Ensure all HR policies are aligned with country-specific statutory and donor requirement(s),

  • Global Human Resource guidelines / policies, vision and core values.

  • Work closely with Directors and Program Leads to ensure development of staff as per HR specific guidelines. 

  • Ensure provision of best administration practices and maintain high quality standards through seamless services.

  • Furnish required information to Global Directors, Executive Director and Country Director relating to operations and services, issues and challenges and improvements options.

  • Empower the operation and program teams with leadership and resources they need to successfully complete operations.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • 10 years + of experience preferably in public health, healthcare or working for a nonprofit organisation.

  • 5 years + experience in management position overseeing HR, procurement, operations, finance.
