Job description

We have partnered with an exciting fintech and e-commerce company based out of Singapore.

Their mission is to create an environmentally friendly subscription model for consumer electronics across Asia Pacific. They have developed a subscription-based business model for customers to flexibly and conveniently access their favourite tech products, distributing a c. US$700bn industry! Consumers now have the ability to pay monthly, keep it as long as they want, and have ultimate flexibility to return, purchase or upgrade to the latest model.

Our client has recently raised a pre-seed round from highly reputable investors from around the globe. With these funds my client is building a diverse team who are passionate about generating social impact, are motivated by the opportunity to deliver new experiences, change consumer behaviour and establish new industry norms, who thrive in the uncertainty and speed of a start-up environment.

To accompany their growth, my client is looking for a Head of Operations to lead the regional operations team, take ownership of the end-to-end operational process and contribute to the startup's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Founders to develop the strategic roadmap for operations including my client's vision for the international expansion

  • Establish OKRs and KPIs with operations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Build, lead and manage the day-to-day operations & operational processes eventually building the operations team

  • Understand and improve my client's existing operating model, SOPs and focus on driving operational excellence to reduce costs and improve efficiency

  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management,& Risk to establish sufficient controls and mitigate risks

  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Operations & Engineering team to ensure a best-in-class customer experience

  • Develop and maintain partnership SOPs & SLAs

  • Provide leadership and vision to the internal development team, analytics team as well as third-party suppliers and vendor consultants

Requirements:

  • 8+ year’s experience in an E-commerce/ hardware operations role - preferable but not necessarily to order management/ supply chain or warehouse management experience

  • Strong track record building and leading a team. Ability to effectively lead and motivate in-house and outsourced teams across warehousing, logistics, fulfilment and other activities as required

  • Ability to simplify concepts and communicate effectively across and external stakeholders

  • Prior experience working at a startup or a fast-paced organisation is a valuable but not necessary

  • Good to have: Experience with electronic devices and a passion for the latest and up-and-coming hardware tech across mobile phones, laptops, wearables, AR/AV, Drones, Audios & entertainment
