Discovered are partnered with a trailblazing UAE start-up going through a period of high growth after securing a sizeable investment round this year. Our client is looking to add a Backend Team Lead to their dynamic team. 

Your area of expertise will be contributing to the design, development, and testing of features delivered as applications and services. Along with this, you will work closely with scrum teams and product managers using agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions on time. You will also drive your team to follow clean code principles, along with actively participating in code reviews to attain the highest standards. 

Must have 4+ years of deep NodeJS experience

Requirements

- 4-7 years of experience building backend service/API development.
- Experience with building and operating high throughput, low latency
distributed systems
- Experience with the following is a non-negotiable: NodeJS, JavaScript/TypeScript,
- In-depth knowledge of database management technologies, preferably MySQL, PostgreSQL and understanding of NoSQL databases
- Experience operating in the DevOps model - "Build it, own it, run it"
- Knowledge of modern deployment paradigms such as Docker, Serverless, IaC.
- Familiarity working with CI/CD pipelines
- Proven experience leading the design and implementation of application development programs and release management processes.
- Experience managing projects through the full development life cycle including support during rollout and post-production.
