We have a great opportunity for a Data Engineer to join a well-known retail company who have been operating within the Middle East for over 25 years, having amassed over 100 stores and with over 1500 employees they have firmly placed themselves as a household name within the region.

This Data Engineer will be joining the Analytics department who are currently growing the team to support the new projects ahead. 

As the Data Engineer you will be responsible for building reliable data models, evolving the data infrastructure and developing tools that streamline data discovery and knowledge sharing.

This position involves various aspects to how the team builds, manages and optimizes data, which will require this person to also be tasked with managing and optimizing the data infrastructure, provided day-to-day support of the data warehouse, create data models for end users and maintaining and enhancing the core data infrastructure and ETL framework.

Essential skills required:

- Ability to design and develop ETL solutions
- Intermediate to advanced SQL knowledge – proven commercial experience
- Scripting language - Python desirable 
- A solid understand of AWS technologies – Redshift experience desirable
- Data Modelling
