Job description
Please note this role has the option to be based either in Dubai, UAE or Thailand. Apply Only if you have 8 + years experience in gaming regulation, including 5 + years in a senior-leadership capacity and Licensed lawyer qualification.
Lead the company’s global licensing and compliance function. Own regulatory strategy, secure new licences, protect existing approvals, and ensure audit-ready operations across all jurisdictions. Report directly to the executive team and act as primary liaison with
regulators, gaming laboratories, and industry bodies.
Core Responsibilities
• Set and execute licensing strategy for new markets; secure, renew, or expand all gaming licences.
• Own the regulatory roadmap: track legislative changes, assess risk, and brief executives on impact and mitigation.
• Lead multi-jurisdiction audits; ensure zero-finding outcomes and timely remediation.
• Direct regulator relations: negotiate licence conditions, respond to enquiries, and represent the company in hearings.
• Oversee technical certification with gaming labs; sign off on system releases and change controls.
• Design and enforce company-wide policies (AML, KYC, RG, data, advertising).
• Build and mentor a high-performing compliance team; set KPIs, coach managers, and control headcount and budget.
• Provide board-level reporting on compliance posture, emerging risks, and corrective actions.
• Deliver internal training on regulatory obligations for product, operations, and marketing staff.
Requirements
• Licensed lawyer with 8 + years dedicated to gaming licensing/compliance.
• 5 + years leading teams and budgets in a regulated gaming environment.
• Demonstrated success securing licences in multiple continents and passing regulator audits.
• Deep knowledge of gaming tech standards, AML/CTF rules, responsible-gaming frameworks, and data-protection laws.
• Proven ability to influence senior regulators and industry associations.
• Clear, concise communicator; fluent English mandatory, additional languages an asset.
