We are currently looking for a Director of Engineering to join a leading company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Based in my clients Riyadh offices, this is an exciting new role to lead a talented engineering team.

Responsibilities:

- You will manage and mentor the engineering team.
- You will provide guidance and leadership to other product team members.
- Organize and manage projects, making detailed plans that work towards the fulfilment of a set objective.
- Manage the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment, ensuring they are executed by the personnel responsible.
- Direct, evaluate, and confirm product design and changes.
- Supervise the development and maintenance of staff abilities and suitability in the organization.
- Consult or negotiate with clients to make arrangements of resources required for a project.

Qualifications:

- The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of software engineering experience, preferable B2B software, and services.
- Experience with a growing startup or mid-size companies is preferred.
- 3+ years of leadership experience.
- Solid experience of multiple programming languages with a demonstrated drive to learn and progress in the technical skill and nuanced art of development.
- Experience with the integration of data from multiple data sources.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB.
- Ability to work with a large interdisciplinary team on modelling complex engineering problems within an optimization framework.
