My client is a global digital entertainment and sports technology business that owns and operates its own proprietary platform and product portfolio. They are on the verge of becoming the next big Tech Unicorn.

They are looking for a Director of Engineering with a background in betting/gambling to join their team on a permanent basis. You can either be based out of their offices in London or Dubai or initially remotely with the view of relocating to either city in the near future.

They have experienced huge growth in the last few years and are looking for someone to ensure that everything is designed not just for now, but for the growth of years to come, aligned with roadmaps and long-term company strategy, along with making sure you deliver great solutions that are proven to meet the needs of their users.

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in product engineering and delivery, of which at least 5 years should be in a people management role
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience working on full-stack web-based and native app product development
- Demonstrable experience of Agile at scale and of leading and scaling distributed autonomous engineering teams across remote locations
- Extensive experience working with highly accessible, distributed, low-latency systems, with hands-on experience of microservices and design patterns for event-driven architectural design
