My client is a leading GCC Bank in the region and is looking for a Head of Digital Technology to play a key role in the bank's Digital Strategy execution and combine specific expertise in digital-first solution architecture, engineering, and production operations.

The successful candidate will drive the Bank towards achieving its stated ambition to become the most experience-focused bank in the region. You will also be involved in senior stakeholder engagement, and leadership, with the emphasis on being able to operate effectively across a strategy to execution mandates.

Responsibilities: 

Be able to identify where we can create reusable ‘building blocks’ to accelerate our engagements and scale digital asset use across wider bank initiatives
Transfer a great understanding of the software component design across the team and be able to identify where we can create reusable ‘building blocks’ to accelerate our engagements
Be hands-on to be able to perform rapid prototyping, ‘spiking out’ quick and dirty software in order to demonstrate a concept before turning it into something more ‘production-like’.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of APIs, and how they can be harnessed by the bank and Third-Party Providers

Skills & Qualifications:

Possess considerable experience in architecting, building, and running digital platforms have written code and thus are able to build, lead and mentor the technologists and engineers
Have a solid understanding of the software component design and microservices architecture that underpins Digital Banking
Be passionate about continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. You’ll have learned already that building high-performance, highly scalable, always available, fault-tolerant systems is required. 
Have a proven track record in leading organizations through their journey to leverage the benefits of the cloud
You’re an expert when it microservice architectures, and you’ve built and deployed containerized services to Cloud-based orchestration layers and platforms.
