Job description
Discover the Opportunity
We’re partnering with an innovative, high-growth technology organisation in Abu Dhabi that is leveraging AI, geospatial data, and advanced technologies to build scalable, data-driven products.
Operating at the intersection of AI/ML and advanced analytics, the organisation is developing cutting-edge solutions that utilise large-scale geospatial datasets to drive insight and decision-making.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team working on complex, real-world data challenges using advanced data science and machine learning techniques.
Discover the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will act as a senior individual contributor responsible for developing advanced analytical and predictive models using large-scale geospatial datasets.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and data teams to design and deploy AI-powered solutions that extract meaningful insights from complex geospatial data.
This role is highly hands-on and suited to individuals who enjoy working at the intersection of research, engineering, and production systems, with the opportunity to influence both product development and technical direction.
Discover the Responsibilities
·Develop and deploy advanced AI/ML models to extract insights from large-scale geospatial and remote sensing datasets.
·Apply techniques such as computer vision, deep learning, and statistical modelling to solve complex analytical problems.
·Work with satellite, drone, and sensor data to build models for classification, detection, prediction, and optimisation.
·Design and build scalable data pipelines and AI systems for processing, analysing, and visualising high-volume geospatial data.
·Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and product teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions.
·Evaluate and implement new models, techniques, and approaches to improve performance and scalability.
·Communicate insights and model outputs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Discover the Requirements
·Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
·Strong hands-on experience building AI/ML models in geospatial, computer vision, or remote sensing domains.
·Experience working with large-scale geospatial datasets, including satellite imagery, drone data, or LIDAR.
·Proficiency in tools and frameworks such as Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and geospatial tools (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS).
·Experience with deep learning techniques such as CNNs, RNNs, or similar approaches for image and pattern analysis.
·Experience deploying models into production environments on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
·Strong understanding of data analysis, statistical modelling, and performance evaluation techniques.
·Experience working in cross-functional teams to productionise AI models and deliver real-world applications.
