Job description

This opportunity is to join one of the largest digital transformation consultancies in the Middle East. This business provides a full 360 service across transformation, analytics and security for some of the largest companies in the region.

Your role as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will be to fill the mission-critical role of ensuring that complex, web-scale systems are healthy, monitored, automated, and designed to scale. In this position, you will serve as a primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of one or more Internet-facing/Internal services. You'll need to have the ability to postmortem the unexpected incidents to solve future hazards, assist in the roll-out and deployment of new product features and installations to facilitate rapid iteration and constant growth and develop tools to improve the ability to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor custom applications in a large-scale UNIX environment.

The perfect candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, 2 of which in a similar position. You will also need to have strong hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Nagios, Icinga, Sensu, Zabbix, graphite, Splunk and ELK. You should also be proficient with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI, Travis, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, have solid experience with cloud environments (Azure) & My SQL Enterprise, and be skilled in evaluating new possibilities and capacity planning aptitudes and champion on container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes engineering and expertise with PaaS environments.
