Level Up. in partnership with The Multiplayer Group, is seeking a Technical Animator to join their growing development studio.

The Multiplayer Group (MPG) are 300 Developers and Data Scientists, helping their clients and partners build 20+ AAA projects at any one time. They're probably the most experienced multiplayer development group in the world. They are set up to help the games industry make games more easily, to deliver the highest quality, and become long-term partners.

MPG specialise in creating the highest standard of mind-blowing multiplayer experiences for their partners. They're currently involved in the biggest shooters, the highest-profile MMORPGs and the trickiest full physics-based multiplayer action ever produced across all platforms, and many of them are record-setting games!

As a Technical Animator, you are highly proficient in rigging and skinning for games. You will use your experience in character articulation, animation technology, game development and software languages and packages to help animators achieve their goals. You take work to final approval and assist others in understanding your work or if they require support - working collaboratively across the team to ensure the best possible workflows and ideas are presented and realised in-game. You’re confident in providing estimates for your work and keeping the team informed on your progress - identifying risks and issues along the way. You’re team focused and offer help. You have a demonstrable talent shown in a showreel.

Role Specifics:

- Experienced Rigging and Skinning
- Combat animation experience is a plus
- Keyframe experience
- Experience with both humans and creatures
- Experience with Mocap data
- Experience with Facial animation is a plus
- Experience with Maya, but can use a range of tools and scripting if needed
- Works well with other crafts to bring the best out of the game (engineering/character/weapons/VFX/costume/world)
- Unreal Engine experience is a plus
- Knowledge of procedural, motion matching, and machine learning techniques a plus
- Cinematics experience a plus
