The Role:

As the Director of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their fintech solutions and driving technological excellence. You will lead cross-functional teams of talented engineers to create and optimize robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the executive team to define the long-term technology vision and strategy aligned with business goals. Translate this vision into actionable plans and lead your team in executing them effectively.

• Team Management: Build and nurture a high-performing software engineering team by providing mentorship, fostering a culture of innovation, and promoting professional growth. Create an environment where team members are motivated to deliver exceptional results.

• Product Development: Drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring that all products and features meet the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.

• User-Centric Approach: Place the end user at the core of all decision-making processes. Use data insights, user feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and create seamless user experiences.

• Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in fintech and software engineering. Lead by example, demonstrating hands-on technical expertise and guiding the team in adopting best practices and new technologies.

• Collaboration: Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align development efforts with product goals and timelines.

Essentials:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in technology companies / teams

• Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing technical talent

• Experience in guiding and coaching teams of technologists on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives

• Excellent stakeholder management including timely updates, early warning indicators, issue remediation etc

• Hands on approach to with architecture, code review, coding, and refactoring

• Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of risks and expected controls associated with an international broker

• Able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of and experience in modern software practices including CI/CD and agile methodologies
