​We’re currently partnered with a leading technology consultancy who are scaling their tech team. They offer a diverse work environment that provide services in the UAE impacting millions of lives. We're currently helping them search for a Senior Java Engineer to join their ever-growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and unit test brand new software as well as debug and improve existing programs

• Build automated tests and enable continuous delivery of platform components

• Familiar with the Dev Ops    

• Working with data structures and algorithms.

• Work with QA & PO’s and other software teams to build, test, and roll out

• Work in a agile environment

• Collaborate with developers to review code & develop new software features and brainstorm new, more effective technologies.

• Train junior developers on the latest coding standards and techniques

Qualifications & skills:

• Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience 

• 6+ years of full life cycle development experience in implementing J2EE based software programs

• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented best practices 

• Solid experience in J2EE, and Spring framework 

• Frontend technologies – HTML/JavaScript frameworks (like Angular JS)

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes/Terraform/Jenkins

• Experience with XML, HTTP, SOAP, REST, JSON and related web service standards 

• Go/Flutter experience is an added advantage.

• Strong proficiency in designing, implementing, and deploying secure, scalable, high-performance, and highly available cloud services 

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology
