Job description

We are looking for a Systems Administrator who will be part of a team responsible for the 24/7 support and maintenance of our Cloud Platform.
The Systems Administrator ensures prompt reaction on Cloud Services incidents and is the main actor in Event and Incident management processes. He or she will work on initial diagnosis, prioritization of technical issues, and escalations to engineering teams.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Work in shifts to cover 24/7 monitoring
- Provide tier-1 base monitoring, technical O&M support, and administration of 24/7 always available production environment
- Adhere to production support processes
- Collaborate with vendor operational and maintenance team
- Contribute to the internal knowledge base.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 year of proven work experience as a Linux Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar in a Linux production environment
- Ability to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Self-driven, motivated, and results-oriented, a customer-centric mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field.

Technical Requirements:

- Advanced experience with server-level operating systems Unix/Linux, facilitating high-level engineering
- Knowledge of networks, routers, switches, firewalls and a good understanding of TCP/IP stack
- Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
- Knowledge and experience of OpenStack production design, operations, and troubleshooting would be beneficial.
